Thoroughly Modern Millie

Book by Richard Henry Morris
Music by Jeanine Tesori
New Lyrics by Dick Scanlan

Bill Szobody, Director
With the Pepperdine University Orchestra, Tony Cason, Conductor

Millie Dillmount arrives in New York City a prim Midwesterner, but soon bobs her hair, shortens her hemline, and starts searching for Mr. Right. It's the Roaring Twenties, and the Big Apple is booming with intrigue and (gasp!) jazz. With its frolicking flappers, dashing leading men, and a dragon-lady of a villainess whom audiences will love to hate,Thoroughly Modern Millie is an evening of madcap musical merriment.

PKE121 STUDENTS—Order Your Ticket by November 3

If you would like to attend the 7:30 performance of "Thoroughly Modern Millie" either November 13 or 14, please RSVP by contacting Pam Miller at (310) 506-4125. She will order a ticket for you that will be provided free of charge. Since it is assigned seating, we will try to order tickets in blocks. To sit with the PKE group, please RSVP by November 3rd. We will place group orders on November 4.

Note: Smothers Theater only has 400 seats; so tickets are limited. November 13 is opening night and is likely to sell out; so order early. The production is first rate and will take place at Smothers Theatre on the Malibu Campus.

If you wish to learn more about the production or to purchase additional tickets at student rates (you are Pepperdine students after all), contact the Center for the Arts at: http://arts.pepperdine.edu/

I have had the opportunity to see the Pepperdine students in action. These are professional level productions and a real treat.
